I just downloaded and installed Subsonic. I am trying to have it recognize my music folder. I entered in the path in the Media Folders section but it states "No Media Folders Found". Can anoyne help me figure out how to make it find my music folders?
I gave up on Subsonic back then because I couldn't get the streaming capability to work. I've been using Audiogalaxy since and am very happy with it but wanted to see what Subsonic was all about. Since 2010, I have a new router and have reformatted my computer. Can't get it to find the music folder. If anyone would be willing to shed some light on this it would be great.
Have a read of viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5506 Knowing what OS subsonic is installed on would help. Also make sure SS has access permissions for your media folders.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege!
Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.
The monroewoeld instructions worked like a charm! Thank you very much! I'm not certain what actually fixed the problem (changing the port address or the media folders) but everything works including streaming.
Perhaps those instructions should be included with the installation?
