Dear All,
I'm a newbie here: I only set up Subsonic today. If this is a stupid question, please forgive me. I couldn't find an answer anywhere else...
I have Subsonic up and running on my computer (Windows XP) - the router is configured, the Android app on my Samsung can connect and play music from my collection: it's all good. EXCEPT, my playlists don't seem to work.
From Android, I select the playlist control and they all appear, but when I select one, I get a "No media found" message.
The playlists all live in G:\Music, they're simple .m3u text files
I've tried editing the contents with notepad, but cannot get the Android app to see the music.
I've tried the following variants:
Modern by artist\Blondie\Blondie - Presence Dear.mp3
.\Modern by artist\Blondie\Blondie - Presence Dear.mp3
G:\Music\Modern by artist\Blondie\Blondie - Presence Dear.mp3
- the file "Blondie - Presence Dear.mp3" lives in "G:\Music\Modern by artist\Blondie"
I do dual boot with XUbuntu, but I don't think that my linux music player has edited the playlists: they still work in Windows XP with listFix.1.5.3.jar and with smplayer.exe
I'm sure that I'm committing a basic error, but I cannot for the life of me see what it is. Any help would be most welcome (preferably advice that doesn't involve hard-coding the drive letter into the resource string, "G:" is a removable drive and is used by more than one OS on more than one device).
Apart from this minor irk, I have nothing but praise for the software: very impressed.
Many thanks in advance,
Nick (Oldephart)
