Hello All,

Is there a way i can change the way the home -> recently Added works? currently its filled with my music but i want to keep track of newly movies and shows. It seems that if i remove my music as a share it works but my playlist will no longer work.

Every day when the Search Database is updated, and new folders that it finds are added to the Lucene index and have a "Date Added" date of that day.

The "Recently Added" screen is just a query against that database, descending by date added. So it will always show the most recently added folders, in order by date added, descending.

There is no real control over it, other than when you add a folder...

They are if you know how to access, change, recompile, and distribute the source code into a new WAR package for yourself to try...

I am unsure where.

"Random albums" and "Recently added" are actually not queries against the database, they're picked from the search index.

http://subsonic.svn.sourceforge.net/vie ... iew=markup

"Recently added" albums are collected in the method starting at line 463.

"Top rated", "Most played" and "Recently played" are queried from the database, in MusicFileInfoDao.java.

There are a few different indexes in Subsonic by the way. The Lucene index is not the same as the internal index found in SearchService.java.
