Can Not Connect To Subsonic Server From Ubuntu 12.04

Postby precipitous » Wed May 09, 2012 10:39 pm

I am running Subsonic 4.6 on a computer running Ubuntu 12.04. Everything has been working perfectly until just a couple of days ago. Now I am no longer able to connect to the Subsonic server from any computer running Ubuntu 12.04. This includes trying to connect locally from the host machine too. It does not matter whether I try to connect using the local IP address, the public IP address or a registered DNS name - the result is always the same: a generic "time-out" message from whatever web browser I am running. Connecting from Windows clients works fine.

I tried completely uninstalling Subsonic, wiping the folder then re-installing, but it did not resolve the issue.

Since this just started happening a couple of days ago I am thinking that the problem was caused by a recent update to Ubuntu, but I have absolutely no idea where to even begin to look for the cause or a solution.

Has anyone else experienced this same issue? Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you using ssl or normal htpp?
This is certainly an odd one :? - I will be interested in what may be causing this.
(A rare 1 up for windows occurrence :D )
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

I am using normal http.... I posted about this issue on the Ubuntu forums as well so I will let you know if/when everything gets figured out. Everything was working perfectly until just a few days ago so I think that an update to either Ubuntu 12.04 or Firefox that is the culprit.
