Did you do a Java Uninstall/reinstall? Also did you delete the C:\Subsonic folder when you reinstalled SS?

Same for me on Ubuntu 12.04. It was working when I last tried it a few days ago, but now it's giving this 503. Guessing an Ubuntu update has broken it?? If anyone knows what the dependencies are I can post my versions. I know it uses for Java but as far I as know this hasn't been updated since an openjdk6 patch last week (and it was working after that...). Current java version is:

Code: Select all
java version "1.6.0_24"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.1) (6b24-1.11.1-4ubuntu3)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode)

To follow on from my reply above... there was some nonsense about an inability to connect to the db in the subsonic.log. I tried deleting the whole SS install and reinstalling the .deb and it's now fine (well, it's starting up, not done areal test as yet).

Luckily for me I only have a couple of users and media folders to re-key!

503 is usually caused by the db file not being closed properly. I believe there are posts on the forum describing what happens regarding a .lck file or some such thing that needs to be deleted to remove the error. a seaarch on "503 error" will probably yeild a long list of reading that probably has the details buried inthere somewhere.

Uninstalling/reinstalling is the shotgun approach to killing the fly, but it works.

Have you ever tried that  In my experience it doesn't but sometimes you get lucky with wasps :D
