Media Folder Fun
First-time user, first post! HI !!
Problem Description:
I have a certain shared network drive (M:) and it contains all of my music I want to stream. The directory structure is as such: M:\[bitrate]\[Artist]\[Artist - Song].mp3, with very little variation to the format of each directory. In standard audio playback software titles (like WinAMP, for example), you can choose the parent director and/or drive letter and select the option to "recurse" subdirectories allowing all music to be 'scanned' and added to a playlist from that parent folder or drive. When I add Media folders to Subsonic, I do not see an option to pull/scan my media automatically. Do I have to literally make hundreds of media folders to include all of my music? It took a long time to organize from a once-filled hard drive in to some sort of order - I just don't want to have to copy all of that work, duplicating all my music just to put it all in one folder.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Dug in to the Subsonic settings and could not find an option pertaining to my problem, also checking online (including this forum) for anyone experiencing a similar issue
Playback Application and version:
Latest Android version available on the Play Store
Subsonic Version:
Latest Version offered on Subsonic.org
Server Version:
N/A
Hardware Platform:
Windows Home Server 2011 x64 OEM
Java Memory Limit:
default - 100MB
Problem Filename:
N/A
Output from ffmpeg -i:
N/A
I am able to connect to the server fine from my Droid RAZR - I just can't see media if I just make my Media Folder M:\ or M:\*.*
