Hi,
I'm using the new 4.7-beta2 version on an feral hosting debian (no root access)

I left the downsampling command as the default: ffmpeg -i %s -ab %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -

The problem is when I try to downsample an mp3 (320) to a lower bitrate (128/96):

Code: Select all

Does any transcoding work?
Try to play a non mp3 or video (non flv)

I've tried transcoding from wma and m4a to mp3,

If you can access the transcode directory see if you can install a later static build ffmpeg there.
But as a windows user that's all I can suggest :|

Adding a new static build solved the problem!
Link to the static version I used: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24633983/ffmpeg/index.html

Thank you!

Thanks for posting this solution! Been having a couple of transcoding issues, tunes not playing, occasional audio glitches and this solved it for me!!
