Cover Art Doesn't Display - 4.7.beta2

Postby stan@stangreen.com » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:07 pm

Hello,
I installed the latest version of Subsonic (4.7.beta2) and the system no longer displays cover art. Can anyone help.

System Info
Version 4.7.beta2 (build 3012) – June 9, 2012
Server jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_29, Windows Vista (77.0 MB / 172.2 MB)
I have this running on the latest updated Vista ro machine w/4Gb memory.
Installation was flawless, as usual.

I use IE9 (9.0.8112.16421) to access the system.

Any pointers would help.
Thanks,
-s

This has been mentioned before but I have just installed a test 4.7b2 SS server on a vista 32 laptop.
Running the same IE version as you (although I normally use chrome) and all my cover art displays np :?
Have all your media files been scanned?

I have the same issue.

Server: (4.6 upgraded to) Subsonic 4.7b2 on Windows Server 2008 R2
Client: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with IE 9

Using IEInspector I can see "display: none;" being applied to the div with class "outerpair1", when the style is removed the image is immediately visible.

If an admin requires access to my server to see for themselves, please PM me.

EDIT:

To temporarily get round this I have added .outerpair1 { display: inline-block !important; } to the end of the theme I am using (if you installed to the default location these css files will be visible at C:\subsnoic\jetty\3012\webapp\style) -- note this does override the fade in that used to occur..

One thing I have noticed is that with 4.7b2 if you select compatibility view the cover art disappears.
Opposite to what happens with 4.6 :?

At the top of IE is the address bar. At the right end of the address space there is a magnifying glass icon, a down arrow, a "sqiggle", a refresh arrow circle, and the stop "X".

The "squiggle" is the compatibility button that allows IE to load pages that do not display properly in a mode that is more compatible with older web pages that may not conform to what IE considers "acceptable" standards.

Although not always successful, sometimes pages that don't load properly after first loading, will refresh and display properly when you click on the compatibility button.
