Redirect Service HTTP Status 500 error

Subsonic has been working just fine. I made no changes to my server or network. Then all of a sudden I get this HTTP Status 500 error when I use my http://***.subsonic.org address. I can't access from outside my network. I can still enter in the numerical ip and access the server when I'm on the server computer itself. Any thoughts? Here's what I get:

HTTP Status 500 -

It's not your setup, it's down for me as well.

Whatever server subsonic uses, I guess some type of DNS, for the domain names is down.

Thanks, Munch Man. Just saved me a lot of aggravation.

I have just received my license a few minutes ago and while registering, I got an HTTP Status 500 error at first. Now all I'm getting is "Failed to test web address. Internal Server Error (HttpResponseException)" Is the server down? Any ETA when it's coming back up?

You just have really bad timing, Frozensteel. Subsonic seems to be experiencing some (very uncharacteristic) problems right now. You might want to check back into the forum to make sure this is resolved before you proceed.

BTW, Subsonic is normally very reliable. Don't let this glitch discourage you.

Guys in the meantime you can setup a dyndns address and just make sure you append :4040 to the end. Your router has to forward 4040 (or whatever outward port you want) of course. This is working for me.

Works for me on my local network, savestheday, but my friend can't get it to work on his remote computer even with the dyndns. And I can't get it to work on my phone app.

Its not discouraging me at all. I've been using this product through its trial period and its the best out there (I use it with the iSub application for the iPhone). I used Qualcomms Skifta before trying this application and its garbage, so I am very thankful that this program is available. I just have a family vacation that goes on the road tomorrow for 13 hours and need some music so its not that much of a drag. Just making sure its not me and wondering when its going to come back up.

I hear ya, frozensteel. I guess we're all wondering the same thing. This will make a lot of people's Sunday a real drag with no Subsonic phone app. It would be nice to hear something official, but I'll grant that the problem just cropped up rather recently for that.

Its a new feature that Sindre is testing for 4.7 - It gives the users new types of fault logs to post in the forum
Its to stop you from getting bored

ps I emailed Sindre to let him know

I got this same error on 4.7 beta after running great for the last week. Loved 4.7, but I think I should go back to 4.6 until this is fixed.

Err! best of luck with that. :?

IT IS THE REDIRECT SERVICE WHICH IS DOWN

So yourname.subsonic.org will NOT work until it is fixed - even the demo server is down.

Status: Failed to test web address. Connect to subsonic.org/66.49.215.227:80 timed out (ConnectTimeoutException)

My log shows WARN 'Failure to Register Web Address' at 9:27am Pacific, and again at 11:29am..suggesting it passed at 7:27am.

Oddly, my IP:port is also not working...now to find out why...

Any progress on the redirect service? I would love to get an update.
