Subsonic Forum

The main web page (subsonic.org) seems to be down at the moment, as is the redirection service - a boilerplate home page comes up. The forum domain works fine (obviously )

I hope that it is just a momentary hiccup. In case it is something more serious, well, I just wanted to put in a word of support.

Further Update it appears that the subsonic.org website is down again so the redirects will not work

I set up a playlist for my roadtrip and can't get the music I want.

I'm not a system admin, but I am willing to chip in for a redundant system.

I was able to connect to my server by using its IP address instead of the domain name (IE. 127.0.0.1 instead of something.subsonic.org), for what its worth. I keep me rocking on my bus ride home from work. If you know your IP, give it a shot!

@ andu__ do you mean the actual ip address from your service provider or the made up one from your router to the pc subsonic is installed on? I'm totally bummed this isn't working I've been using it forever. I can't go back to syncing....I just can't!

actual IP address with port. (so for example mine is: http://10x.7.1x4.164:80x4)

Yeah just use your IP addy and port. Good to go. It's best to just set it that way anyway.

i put in my ip address from my computer and put that in where the server address is " 197.128.1.1.subsonic.org" and im getting the same message
failed to test web address connection to subsonic refused. can you tell me what im doing wrong

Use your ISP address then :your port.

Subsonic.org is just redirecting to that anyway. Note how when you log in at work, etc it redirects to an address and a port.

I use iSub so my address is simply xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyy

If you COULD log on away from home then your ISP IP:port WILL WORK.

Your server stands alone, subsonic is just a handy redirect service.

If you put in the local IP and port it will only work on your network and not outside.

where do i find this info..i found my ip address from whats my ip but i dont know the port

If you are having issues finding your ISP IP click this.

Use those numbers followed by a colon then the port you have forwarded.

Don't put .subsonic in there at all.

Just numbers, dots, and a colon.
