Updated Chrome, subsonic web-player no longer works-Resolved

This is odd. I've been running subsonic for a while now with no problems. Currently running on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
Just moved from Chromium 18 browser, to Chrome 20. Now the web based subsonic player doesn't work. Album art is goofed, can't really navigate to any music. Popped open Firefox, it works fine. Definitely something different between chromium 18, and chrome 20. Anyone else see this?
Really wanted to move to the google repository for chrome, instead of waiting on open-source chromium updates. Non-working subsonic page might be a dealbreaker for me.

Reading this post prompted me to look at my version of chrome (which was 19xxxx)
That seemed to force an update which has now updated to 20.xxxxx
Checking SS everything seems to be in order - the only thing that has changed is that my thumbnails on the chrome homepage have been shuffled about
Try deleting your browser cache (ctrl-shift-del) and then refreshing page
I am running on windows 32 so its possible that they screwed something up on your os version update

That's didn't do it. Forgot to mention, this is subsonic server 4.6.

Attached a few screenshots of what the subsonic page looks like in Chrome 20. Seems fine in other browsers.

Hmm! it looks as if its just the main frame which is not being rendered correctly
I just changed my theme to the same as you are using and again np.
One thing you could try is to change your theme (if you can find the dropdown box

)
That will force a refresh within SS's cache - worth a try

Easy way was to change the these in Firefox for my user. Didn't fix the problem in Chrome unfortunately

Good idea though.
Oh, and there are functionality problems in other frames. I can't click on a letter on the left hand side to jump to artists starting with that letter. Whole thing is pretty much non-functional, at least in Chrome 20.

Have a look at your privacy settings - something may have got messed up there - make sure javascript is enabled

All my privacy/content settings look good. Cookies allowed, javascript, etc. It 'tis puzzling.

Its look like you will have to wait to see if any other chrome users with your OS report the same problems.
You could try posting/searching on the google chrome site to see if there is any info.
Bit annoying though as chrome is (was in your case

) by far the best browser for SS but FF is not too bad.

Hello,
Same problem here, with a slight difference:
I have SS 4.7 beta 2 installed on a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS x86 system.
The client upon which the trouble happens is in a x86_64 Ubuntu 12.04 LTS system.
(Wildguessing) Could it be a display driver issue? (since you have posted some images with tearing)?
I've recently updated the xorg server on my client system which caused the proprietary drivers to malfunction. So I had to reinstall those drivers.
Although I can use my desktop interface of the OS, i cannot run SS web client on the google crhrome.
Note: I can easily run the app from either firefox or google-crhomium
Cheers

Reinstalled my fglrx drivers (ati binaries), same problem. I use this machine heavily, if it were a graphics driver problem I think I would have noticed another problem somewhere else. Good thing to try though, with the xorg updates that have been coming out.

Hello!
I've dug a little further and found out that there is one difference (at least) between google chrome (which is not working as we know) and chromium (that is working) that makes a difference for our web clients' responsiveness.
Would you be in the mood to confirm if disabling the chrome's flash plugin makes any difference in the chrome's interface?
I know that if you do so you will not be able to play any content through the browser but at least it gives a hint to what may be going on for this strange behavior...
In chromium the flash+shockwave plugins are: Flash - Version: 11.2 r202 Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202,
In chromium the flash+shockwave plugins are: Flash (2 files) - Version: 11.3.31.115 Shockwave Flash 11.3 r31
If I disable flash plugin in chrome i can get to manage its settings and interact a little with the server. If they are enabled, I can't even do that...
Bye.

Hello... again...
Just sorted my problem out:
Following the previous lead and the one posted in here:
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/an ... wer=108086 I've disabled version 11.3.31.115 and enabled version 11.2 r202 in chrome... Everything's alright now!!!
Cheers!

Huh, sure enough, if I disable flash on the subsonic page it works (minus that whole listening to the music bit

Will checkout that link for a workaround. Thanks a bunch mzcl-mn!
