Saving to PlaylistFolder in 4.7b2

In 4.6, I was able to create playlists in the web UI and they automatically saved to the PlaylistFolder specified in the subsonic.properties file. Even though this file is still present in 4.7b2, it appears this can no longer be done that way. I assume it's because of the difference in how the data is maintained. Are there any workarounds other than exporting and moving manually?
I understand from this post that I have to import the playlists into the new version.

4.7 final will have auto-import playlist feature so I assume the playlist folder will then come back into play.

Actually, I disagree. I believe that Sindre has moved to storing the playlists in the database by user, so the Playlist folder may be used as an "import from" location, but I would not expect any kind of automated export of the database playlists to file-based playlists.
I may be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.
That doesn't mean that, with a little scripting or fancy db.view work, that you couldn't get the playlists into the format you desire, but I don't think that cross-application use of the playlists was in Sindre's mind when he re-did the playlist feature to handle multiple users...

Sorry didn't pick up on the exporting bit.
I assume that 4.7 final will auto-i
mport from a designated folder eg the playlist folder.
But there is no mention of any export playlist function in the TODO list (that I can see)

Thanks, I didn't specify cross-application use of the playlists but that's actually the reason. While I'm listening to music at work with Subsonic, I'll usually add songs to a playlist for listening later. I have a few Squeezeboxes for whole-home audio (like others here) that also pick up on these playlists.
