The subsonic process uses an unreasonable amount of CPU

I'm running subsonic on a ubuntu 10.04 machine. It works fine, except that the process uses somewhere between 80% and 130% CPU constantly, even if I'm not listening to music through it.
I experienced this problem with subsonic 4.5 and updated to 4.7beta2 to see if it would be fixed, but it's still there, just as bad.

The log doesn't tell me anything.
Attaching strace to the process only gives me this output:

That's weird in itself, since it's definitely doing things.
