Unable to login outside of my network

Postby zoolander » Fri Jul 06, 2012 1:35 am

Problem Description: I am unable to access subsonic using my hostname http://zoolander.subsonic.org or the isub iPhone app.
On a PC the error is: Cannot open Page
On iSub the error is: Server Unavailable, Error code 8
Troubleshooting Steps: I have verified with the vendor that the Untangle Firewall and Portforwarding settings I have are correctly configured. They have been able to successfully telnet to my host and they have verified that the portforwarding is correctly configured. The Firewall logs show an incoming connection from the iPhone and that the connection is allowed to pass.
Playback Application and version: IE, FF, iSub
Subsonic Version: 4.6 (build 2583) – December 6, 2011
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_31, Windows 7 (50.8 MB / 96.7 MB)
Hardware Platform: Windows
Java Memory Limit: 100 MB
Problem Filename: All Files
Output from ffmpeg -i: N/A

What ports are you using?

Have you checked with http://canyouseeme.org that those ports are open on your router.
I would suggest turning of the ssl port and get a connection on http first.

I disabled ssl, and verified ports using the site you suggested.
8083 - Open and I'm able to connect with iSub now over 4g
4040 - Connection Refused,is this port needed on a Windows system?

Why did disabling ssl make it work all of the sudden? My subsonic server is the only thing using 443?

443 wasn't open.
