Lost my SS domain name after moving to a new PC [resolved]
Hi all,
My old PC (WinXP x86), so I moved to a new one (Win7 x64). I copied all my settings over and got it to work (even with java 1.7.0_05-b06).
When I tried to test connectivity in my browser at http://wingo.subsonic.org, instead of showing my login, it tried to connect to an IP address in Kiev. I tried to set my custom network name on subsonic.org (myname.subsonic.org) at Settings -> Network, but it tell me:
"Status: myname.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)", and it appears to be trying to reach the IP in Kiev.
In addition, Subsonic is telling me, "This feature is available until August 8, 2012. After that you must donate to use it permanently.", but I have already donated.
My IP has not changed outside my router, just the new one on my home network, and I already changed all my port forwarding to this new PC IP.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Gary
PS. I just found a similar thread at viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9822 that seems to say that the website is down (it isn't). Has the free redirection service (in exchange for a donation) gone the way of the dodo? I can certainly use my IP address, but it's much handier to use the custom domain/redirection. Not only that, SS continues to tell me the server is unlicensed. How do I get it re-licensed?
