new issue with 4.6 (new for me)
Running SS 4.6 on a Linux box (Fedora 17) - started with it on F15, but upgraded to 16, then to 17. Other than this, nothing has been upgraded (other then system updates) to the "server". I have my "music" folder on a Windows machine, and this drive is "mounted" under /media/music on my Linux machine.
My SS is configured with this folder under the Settings/Media Folder option.
As of today (as far as I know, it started today), I am no longer able to get the left pane to show my list of albums/songs, and the same with the center pane. Turns out for some reason the Linux box doesn't "register" any of the files I have in my media/music folder unless I physically log into the machine and use Nautilus (File Explorer) to go to that folder. Even "ls -l" doesn't show any files in that folder until I do this.
So I do this, and now I get a single file listed on the left pane, which is the only file I have that is not in a subfolder of /media/music.
I've tried restarting SS, removing the music folder, re-adding it, re-indexing it, and everything else I can think of, including restarting mysqld, samba, re-mounting the drives, etc...
Anyone experience this and able to fix it? I don't want to upgrade to 4.7 just yet, as it's still beta, but will most likely upgrade when the full release is available.
