Missing Cover Art

Hello,

Any idea why Subsonic fails to create thumbnails of my folder.jpg. This seems to be random, and happens frequently. Is there a size limit for the artwork or a "preferred" size? Below is a sample of the warning messages about this issue. Thanks.

Hi,

Can you please look up these warning messages in c:\subsonic\subsonic.log? There is more detail there as to what went wrong.

There is no size limit per se, but if the image file is very large, Java might run out of memory. The warning detail will hint if this is the case.

Thanks,
Sindre

Coincidence?

Greetings - I don't know if this is related or not - but any file(s) I have that contain a dash '-' do not seem to be registering correctly. I am wondering if this has any bearing onyour artwork issue since if you look at your log post - all the images that aren't showing up have a dash in their path/filename.

I recently upgraded to 3.3 and ever since I have upgraded - any files that I have with a dash in the filename are no longer clickable links in the index. I can manually play them by doing a SEARCH for the music, but anything with a dash shows up on my index (left panel) as text only (non-clickable link).

Sindre - I apologize if this has already been addressed in another post - I have not run across any posts covering this anomoly - am I alone?

P.S. - Many Kudos on your software - it's great.

To get a cleaner layout I removed the play, add, download buttons from the left frame in 3.3. This means that if you have music files located directly in the root folder (not in a sub-directory), it will not be possible to play it. Is this what you are seeing?

As a work-around you may move the files in the root folder into sub-directories.

Hope this helps,
Sindre

AH! Perhaps this is the reason...

I will investigate this! Thank you so much for a quick reply.
