Hello everybody !

I have installed subsonic, and one point, it's fantastic !
I can listen MP3 everywhere, but I have much more FLAC files than MP3... And I can't play my FLAC music.
I have read the wiki... Try to change transcoder... of course i have link in my transcode folder.
I can't understand, because I don't have DEBUG log ! In WARN log, there are nothing :
[31/07/12 17:49:42 CEST] INFO PlaylistInputStream julien listening to "........................."

So i have installed subsonic on Debian Squeeze, with openjdk-6-jre.
ffmpeg - 6:0.8.3-1~bpo60+1
lame 3.98.4+repack2-3~bpo60+1
Subsonic :
Version 4.6 (build 2583) – 6 décembre 2011
Serveur jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_18, Linux (22,3 MB / 35,6 MB)

Someone can give me the way to set DEBUG mode for logs ?
By the way, I have tried log4j.rootLogger=DEBUG, A1.
And someone have FLAC decoder fully opérational ?

Thank you, and have a good day.

Can you post your transcode settings and also the SS log output whilst playing (or attempting to) a flac file.
You should being seeing a
Code: Select all
DEBUG   TranscodeInputStream   Starting transcoder........

in your log file underneath the INFO PlaylistInputStream message

You don't set it - that is the normal SS log output shown in the About tab

Realy... I don't have any DEBUG output :
Code: Select all
[31/07/12 22:13:50 CEST]   INFO   PlaylistInputStream   admin listening to "Bonus/01 The Crash.mp3"
[01/08/12 03:00:00 CEST]   INFO   SearchService   Starting to create search index.
[01/08/12 03:00:01 CEST]   INFO   SearchService   Updating Lucene search index.
[01/08/12 03:00:04 CEST]   INFO   SearchService   Created search index with 900 entries.
[01/08/12 16:02:24 CEST]   INFO   PlaylistInputStream   admin listening to "CD1/01 Overture.flac"

The .mp3 song was played without any problem. But the .flac song was not...
It drive me crazy to do not see what appened and what is the reason to not decoding flac... :(

It looks like you do not have transcoding turned on for FLAC. What does your transcoding screen look like?

It would seem that the transcoder (ffmpeg) is not starting.
Try playing any other audio file that isn't a mp3 and is not flac eg a wma or ogg file and see if they play.

So, here is the vhosts setings :
Code: Select all
# pwd ; ls -l
/var/local/<vhosts>/data/transcode
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 subsonic subsonic 15 30 juil. 11:40 avconv -> /usr/bin/avconv
lrwxrwxrwx 1 subsonic subsonic 15 30 juil. 10:09 ffmpeg -> /usr/bin/ffmpeg
lrwxrwxrwx 1 subsonic subsonic 13 28 juil. 01:22 flac -> /usr/bin/flac
lrwxrwxrwx 1 subsonic subsonic 13 29 juil. 18:35 lame -> /usr/bin/lame

And here is my trancoder options in settings>encoding
Code: Select all
(original) mp3 audio - step1 : ffmpeg -i %s -ab %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -
(original) flv/h264 video - step1 : ffmpeg -ss %o -i %s -async 1 -b %bk -s %wx%h -ar 44100 -ac 2 -v 0 -f flv -vcodec libx264 -preset superfast -threads 0 -
(test) flac2mp3 - flac - mp3 - avconv -i %s -b %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -
(test) flac2mp32 - flac - mp3 - ffmpeg -i %s -acodec libmp3lame -ab %bk -f mp3 -

I have tried an ogg file... the same as flac file, no sound.
How can I "activate" transcoder ? And why I don't have debug output in logfile ?

OMG... You was right...
It was the wrong path, i have put s-links in /var/local/<vhost>/data/transcode/ and the good path is /var/local/<vhost>/data/subsonic/transcode/
I'm so sorry to used your time :?

I can enjoy subsonic and my flac songs (in mp3 ofc :P )
