Hi
First of all, thanks very much for subsonic, it's an amazing piece of software! I've only been using it a few days, but have donated already.
Having just a) got a new Android phone and b) left my 160GB ipod on a plane, I'm pretty sure that my HTC desire means I shouldn't need to buy a new ipod.
My library consists of music at a variety of bit rates, from 128 upwards to mainly 256 and 320 kbps. What I'd like to be able to do is to manage the music on my phone from subsonic. With a large library, and only currently an 8GB SD card, storage space is limited. I'd like to be able to download music at a constant (probably 128 kbps aac) bit rate to be able to optimise the balance between sound quality and song storage capacity when on the go.
Is it possible to include the transcoding process within the downloading of files to my android handset?
Thanks,
Nick
