Advanced library updates.

I love the program! I was wondering if we could get some advanced options for updating the search index, seems how that appears to keep track of latest albums added. Right now the most often it updates is daily, would there be a way to set updates in lower intervals? Or even more ideal, would there be a way to monitor the media folders for a change in size and run an update when such conditions are met?
