Bluetooth features on Android app

Postby Streamer » Mon Oct 25, 2010 11:00 pm

Hi, I would like to suggest two things regarding the bluetooth on the android app:

1. It would be nice if playback automatically paused or stopped when the bluetooth is disconnected. The way it is now, music starts playing out of my pocket when the bluetooth is disconnected.

2. I'd like to be able to have the app launch and start playing music just by hitting the play button on the bluetooth device. When the app is already open, the controls work fine, but I can't seem to launch it through bluetooth. This would make it a lot easier to play music in a car, for example, because you wouldn't have to look at the phone.

I have a Motorola Droid X phone, in case that matters. Thank you for this great program.

How do you automate the "play" task? I've tried both the "Toggle Pause" and the "Next" options in the Media Control task selection, but, they only work as long as the subsonic client is running and has been paused (or has an active playlist).

I tend to use "Shuffle Play" on the subsonic client app and can't seem to get Tasker to initiate a "Shuffle Play" when it launches the app.

Thanks.

I still use the stock app for my music and scrobbling, so I would like this additional feature to be user selectable. It would be nice if this would include defeating the media button capture the app does when it launches and runs; I have to kill the app with Advanced Task Manager so I can return to the stock music app and use my BT controls with it. Thanks.
