connect to grooveshark database? song voting

The ability to connect to a large online music database would be absolutely amazing!!! I would love to be able to make use of Groovesharks API and be able to just use all of their music.

The main thing I want to use this for is for a coffee shop. For all the coffee shop goers to be able to make song requests(jukebox) and let everyone there be able to vote on songs like two votes bumps it up in the playlist 2 bad votes bumps down. 3 bad votes bumps it off the playlist. allow people to interact with each other while at a coffee shop.

And that is also why having an unlimited datasource of music would be fantastic.

Any ideas or suggestions... I am a developer and would love to get my hands dirty with some code!
