(New Beta Feature)New: Moved index from top to left frame.

I'm not sure if this is a feature someone requested. But personally, i much preferred the index on the top frame. Maybe you could have it be an option in the settings/players tab, i don't know.

For me, it's pretty much useless in the left frame. I would think the point of the index is so there is always a place on screen that can move you through your library quickly. With it on the left frame, it's just cluttered in with everything else. Now, it's just as fast for me to find the next index section I want manually than it is to scroll back to the top of the left frame to choose a new index selection.

Note to Sindre: By the way, I'm new to the forum, and just started using Subsonic about a month ago. It's a wonderful App and I certainly appreciate all the hard work that must have gone, and continues to go into it. Thanks.

Saw the notes about being able to click the index letter to link back to the top of the frame. That is somewhat more useful, but i have over 4500 artists in my collection. Therefore some of the indexes have hundreds of folders. This can still involve a lot of unnecessary scrolling just to get to the index headers.

The reason why I moved the index from the top frame was that it got too wide on the new HD themes, and that looked really crappy.

I'll see if it's possible to do some CSS tricks to make the index visible at all times.

Then list the letters vertically on on each line.

That way you will have the index very near the left list.

And it will be quicker to use than it was before.

Or add an 3 way option, so that each user could choose what they would prefere.
