Download zipfile to mobile phone

Hello and happy new year!

As streaming music to all mobile phones isn't possible (as http is not a preferred protocol on all devices), I'd find it very useful to be able to browse an artist or an album, and be able to select that artist for download to the mobile device, via zip compression. Could that be possible?
