All folders

Forgive me for sounding daft, but what would be the benefit here? Functionally within SS it would be exactly the same -- two different folders/sources of music, all appearing integrated in the SS interface.

If anything, having them listed twice gives added flexibility re: hiding/displaying content. You'd only see...

All Folders
Music
Music

...instead of...

All Folders
Music

... when you actually go to Settings->MediaFolders. Given that most of us never hang out in the Settings, what exactly is the motivation behind not showing both literal folders in the MediaFolders listing?

It becomes clearer once bringing the video folders into game. Currently, the view may look like:

All Folders
Video 1
Video 2
Video 3
Music 1
Music 2

There is no clear logic what makes Video 1 different from Video 2 besides physical limitations of disc space. Would love to see:

All Folders
Video
Music

I am aware that there exist other ways to achieve that (e.g., virtual RAID), but it sounds like an easy thing for Subsonic to enable.

Create a folder & create symlinks to the multiple directories that you wish to reference. Add root folder as your music folder in subsonic & everything should work.

The following commands should help you:
mklink (windows)
ln -s (linux)
