FR: Android Client Universal Directory Parsing

When attempting to access music through the android client the application parses and caches the "Artists" and I see a "Got %d artists". However when I attempt to access another directory with video files the client times out. I believe this is due to the large number of files within the my Video directory. I have categorized the content in one of my other video folders into sub-directories and can now access the content without timeout errors. My feature request is this:

Can we have the IndexesParser function run on any new directory that is accessed so large directories don't choke the client?

I'm trying to implement this myself but am a n0ob. Any help would be appreciated.

So I guess I'm the only one having this issue?
