Texting Shared Media Links

In short, I want my users to be able to text each other links to songs/albums/playlists/etc. that open their app and plays the link.

My programming skills are amateur at best but I'm not sure if this can be done on iOS as it would treat a hyperlink like any other and open Safari. I don't know Android at all really but I'm guessing it's probably the same. I think it would require Subsonic creating a specific type of link that commands iOS to open a specific app to use the link. Again, I don't know is iOS or Android will even allow this.

Ya, I was thinking that would probably be the case. There's plenty of other features that I would like to see first but I wanted to donate my idea to whoever might want it.
