date format

I would love to set the date to a UK format, IE: 25/01/09

The date format follows the selected locale.

For instance, with English locale the dates are formatted like:
1/25/09 or January 25, 2009

With Norwegian locale it becomes:
25.01.09 or 25. januar 2009

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought English uses MM/DD, not DD/MM?

I believe North America is the only place that uses MM/DD. Of course thats the way I prefer it

Ah, yes you're right.

I'll add locales that are specific to US and UK, so that the date format is correct in both cases.

No UK date format is DD/MM, thats why i ask if it was poss to do as im in the UK
