Requested Feature for Subsonic: User Submission Form

Hello Sindre,

I would like to thank you again for creating and maintaining the best media streaming platform available. It's simply the best.

I use subsonic as a front-end to our household's music share.
(1,249 artists, 936 albums, 13,254 songs, 78.11 GB)

I humbly request a feature for your consideration (if it doesn't go against the goals/plans of the overall project).

I was wondering if a tab or form could be made available where authenticated users could make a request for a CD they'd like to see added to the collection.

Something simple with two fields where they can enter the artist and title of a cd they would like to see added to the music share.

Upon clicking submit, the information would be sent via email to the admin with the user information as well as the CD & Title.

"Subject Subsonic User Request"
"JoeUser has requested The Nylon Curtain by Billy Joel"

Thanks for taking the time to read and if it would be in line with your vision of the project and wouldn't take to much of your time to implement, I'd love to see a simple user request form integrated into Subsonic.

Thanks for your feedback.

I think a message feature would be a nice extension to Subsonic. I'm thinking something similar to the private message feature in this forum.

This can have many uses, one of which is the scenario you describe.

I can't promise when or if it get implemented, but it's something that is quite frequently requested by users.

how about a shoutbox on the server like seen on many other portals? couldn't be that hard to implement .. and me and the guys on my site use it quiet often!
