Media library tree - android caching

Hi Sindre,

I love media sharing in the new version, thanks for the addition.

I seem to spend my whole time switching between offline and online in the Android client because I only sometimes have a quick enough connection to navigate down the tree to the right music in the Media Library.

Would it be possible to change the way this part of the android client works so that in online mode it initially shows the cached version of the media library structure and fetches updates it in the background when it gets a reply from the server?

I presume there is enough information on the client to do this at the moment and it would make it so much more responsive and mostly remove the need for offline mode.

Not sure if bumping my own thread a year later will achieve anything, but I'll give it a go....

Just to say I completely agree with myself on this one , it really is the main usability issue with the android client.

What do others think? Do you find yourself waiting for the client to pull up the music list when you're out and about?
