play icon adds whole album to play queue

I finally updated to 4.9 from 4.8 (little behind the curve). The feature "When playing a song, queue only later songs (not earlier)" is confusing in my opinion. I liked the play icon simply played the song functionality. It adds an extra clicks in 4.9. Let's say I start from a blank queue and want to play 3 songs from an album.

1. click play icon on 1st song, song starts to play.
2. click "plus" adds 2nd song to play next.
3. click "plus" adds 3rd song to play next.

1. click "plus" or "play next arrow" icon. The song is only added.
2. click the first song to start playing.
3. click plus sign for 2nd song.
4. click plus sign for 3rd song.

I also liked that clicking the "play" icon in 4.8 would clear the queue. It did what you expected and just played the song. I searched the forum and it seems the community has no problem with this functionality. Maybe add a "play+" icon and make the play icon do what it used to do. I can live with the 4.9 method. I just wanted to voice my opinion being a long time user (since 2006) and that worked the same for a long time.

This functionality doesn't really work for Podcasts. I don't want to add all previous podcasts I've listened to in a folder.
