Allow scrobbling to libre.fm

Postby jeff.m.taylor » Fri Sep 28, 2012 11:23 pm

Allowing scrobbling to libre.fm in the web interface (and especially in the Subsonic mobile app) would be very useful.
It may be possible to work around this with a manual hosts entry to redirect traffic destined for last.fm to libre.fm and am trying that out.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, but if there's any interest in this, we'd be happy to work with you to make it happen.

https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listin ... fm-discuss is the best way to get hold of us.

I checked your homepage when this topic was posted, and looked at the "Developer info" link which goes to http://libre.fm/developers/ (404)

Wouldn't it be good to have a how-to for developers, like last.fm has at http://www.last.fm/api/show/track.scrobble ?

+1 on this.

(The hosts hack is a hack; making all users have to use the same scrobbling server.)

I would love to see this as well. The only way I've found to scrobble to libre.fm with Subsonic so far is to use XenoAmp, but I listen from both my desktop and my phone, and XenoAmp's UI is unusably insane.
