I would like Subsonic to implement a version of ReplayGain so that all tracks play around the same volume. I have a collection of 3800 CDs and quite often I have to change the volume of the player when a new track starts.

Yes that would be great. It can be very annoying to constantly change the volume manually while having a conversation. This happens especially when you have a playlist with songs from older and newer albums.

I think the only feature that really is required here is an automatic ReplayGain on the whole current playlist, which can be enabled or disabled. The only difficulty would be, that this would have to be recalculated when you add or removed songs to it while playing.

I would like this feature as well & I believe it has been requested for some time. I used foobar to set replay gain on all my files so if Subsonic could read that tag information it would be great.

I would also like to see this feature. I'm currently doing it with a custom transcoding, but I'm not able to do it in the jukebox, where it's most needed, due to Subsonic using its own transcoding string and ignoring the jukebox player settings.
