Where's the Native (meaning I can turn off transcoder and let the web browser do the playback work) support for VP9 (unlimited bitrate to be determined by the encoded video) and Opus support @ 510kbps? Sindres why the hell are you trying to reinvent the wheel? I see your attempt at better video and 3mbps is simply horrible it kills my eyes. Audio playback is still a 1980's MP3 so even though your updating to HTML5 its still a 1980's audio and 1990's video turd. Firefox, Chrome, Opera and this summer even Microsoft Edge will support both VP9 and Opus natively within the browser which means means all you got to do is change the look and alter a little scripting for each browser. The benefit is that is runs cleaner with much better audio and video. Opus is support by the Samsung Note 5, S5,S6 LG G4 and many others and if other still want MP3 its still natively supported with HTML5. I really don't see the need for the transcoder anymore because once the file is transcoded to correct bitrate and format, which is the best method to control quality and filesize for streaming, the transcoder really isn't a need. Transcoder only causes unneeded processor load and only limits the amount of people that can be streaming at a single time but if you insist on leaving then fine just make a way that Opus and VP9 can run natively without the need for the transcoder being involved in any way.
Anyway someone listened even if it wasn’t you. The writer of Concieva’s Mezzmo has it setup right. It still has some bugs and I’m working with the author to improve it but the software seems very promising. I recommend everyone trying it when the final is released but be warned it still has some minor and some moderate bugs but the writer is taking feedback to resolve them all. The web access portion of the software is a complete new add-in so be patient for everything to be fixed.
