Option to Never Modify Original files

I'd like to request an option in Subsonic that will disable modifications of all previously existing files MP3/FLAC/JPG/NFO/etc files when monkeying around with ID3 tags, albums names, track numbers etc. Not sure on the exact implementation of it, but the feature would be helpful.
