Improve Search

Please improve the search function. Searching in large collections is impossible as the results include partial results, results including 1 of the search words appear before results with the full search results, and the results are maxed out. It was also help if we could choose the type of results we are looking for. This needs a complete overhaul.

I agree, searching needs some work. I am looking for a song named "happy girl" in my collection. The results are for songs which include the word "happy" or "girl", but the combination of both does not show up. I know it is a Martina Mcbridge song and it is in my library.

THIS! It's often easier for me to go into my folder structure to find a piece than to use the search, as it will come back with a myriad of results, and the piece for which I am looking is not often included.

Perhaps I'm just spoiled by Google, but I find the Subsonic search to be rather lacking.

+1 I've 45,000 tracks - a search for the classic "At Last" returns a zillion hits, none of which are the 9 versions of "At Last" in my collection. Any search syntax over "any in..." would be most helpful - please.

Seconded, thirded, or whatever number we are on. I used Madsonic briefly, and its search was superior, so I would assume something similar should be possible for Subsonic.
