Configuration Backup and Restore

I expect it's already been requested but it didn't show up in my searching so please excuse me if this is a duplicate.

It would be nice if there was a way to export a single archive that contains all the users/settings/metadata/etc. I understand you can do this now by manually backing up the database but it would be nice if it was as simple as many routers/switches/nas/etc where under the settings page as admin you can select "export/backup" and "restore"

If there was the option to schedule it at regular intervals that would be even better. It seems like a common feature, so maybe there's a reasonably functional off-the-shelf solution that could just be dropped in?
