Variable Playback Speed

I listen to many audio books, talks and pod casts and it would be a great feature to have a variable playback speed option. Such as .5 - 2x. Obviously playing music at 2x is unpractical, unless you speak chipmunk... Adding variable playback speed would make Subsonic my all around go to audio app.
