Google Voice search was updated to include actions.
Are we gonna see any integration with subsonic? example; "Play (artist)" will play said artist.

This is my most used app on my phone! Thanks for the hard work.

I know it's a consequence of how the android player works, but I'm kind of anal about my last.fm library :-D

I feel the same way. I'm anal about my last.fm library as well.

+1 for a Widget ...

I echo many of the previous posters in saying that Subsonic is my favorite app. I love being able to listen to my library on the go. Keep up the great work!

One thing I would like is for the app to catch the pause and play buttons from a bluetooth headset so I can pause and play the music inside of the app. I believe pandora does this. Also along with this would be letting the lockscreen audio controls be caught within subsonic instead of the default audio app. Not sure if these are doable.

I'd like for the app to save the position and currently listened file in the playlist on exit.

I've been working with using Subsonic as my RSS player application, but this is a big stumbling block for me. When I exit the app and start it back up, it keeps my playlist, but doesn't resume the file from where I left off.

I was just thinking about this today, and I don't think it'd require quite as much work as I initially suspected. The best choice I see is just to:

1) have the android app bypass scrobbling entirely on the subsonic server, and
2) tie the android app into either the scrobbledroid api or the simple last.fm scrobbler api

OK, I thought it would be less work when I started writing this, but then I realized the standard last.fm app only automatically scrobbles for the stock music application. That does end up looking like a bit of an overhaul. But it would be a nice improvement. (Though last.fm is a pretty minor concern, all told.)

I agree, it sure would be handy if subsonic supported the new "listen to" action they just added to voice search. Here's another vote for this feature request.

I love the 'shuffle play' option. However, I noticed when that that happens and I go into the list view for the shuffle playlist that only the next (roughly) 10 songs are loaded into the queue. When I'm looking for music that fits a certain mood I found myself having to start up tracks that I didn't want to listen to just to get the next 10 to load. If it could queue up, lets say, the next 50 songs that would probably be a non-issue. Or perhaps an option to select how many songs the shuffle playlist could queue up?

Thank you for the exit button. Love it.

Bookmark option!

I listen to alot of audiobooks, and some of them are one book in a big mp3 file, and some kind of simple bookmark system would be great.

Even if it's just one bookmark that gets replaced everytime you save a new time in a new file.

Anything that makes it easier than having to manually find the location in a 2hr mp3 file etc...

an equalizer would be great for the android app. I'm listening to some music on my droid 2 with headphones and it desperately needs some equalizer settings to be tweaked.

Hey Sindre! Happy donator here, you have developed a really amazing app. I have a problem though - I listen to a lot of music that have multiple discs within one album name (live shows from Phish, Umphrey's McGee). This is fine when I listen to music connected to my server, as it plays the first disc in order and then the second disc in order, but when I go into offline mode, it will list the first songs from both discs, then the second songs from both discs, and so on. So the discs get grouped together. Is disc number not pulled when information is stored for offline listening? That would be (hopefully) a quick fix for Android users! Thanks again!

What i would like to have is that the android app saves the playlist locally as a fallback. Sometimes i don't have a network connection and i want to choose a playlist that plays files which are locally stored. These can't be played when they are not queued and when i do not have a network connection.

Besides that it would be nice for the app to save where i was when i close the app.

Change queue order

Postby lprager@compup.com » Thu Aug 26, 2010 8:50 pm

I love Subsonic on my Evo. The only thing that frustrates me is I can't change the order of the songs that are playing in the queue.

Now with Bluetooth control support, the only thing missing for me is for subsonic to remember current song after it got killed by android or phone reboot. So i just can pick up my hands-free and press play an go and dont end up on first song in playlist all the time.
