Hebrew file names Support [Resolved]

Hi,

My name is Yoav, i really enjoy using the subsonic system it's the best, but Hebrew file names support is missing,
all songs that in Hebrew is in gibberish, please fix this on the next release.

What encoding are your file names stored in? UTF-8, ISO 8859-8 or something completely different? What file system are you using?

the files are in mp3 format, and in Hebrew names.
i don't know if it's on utf8 or something else, how do i find out?

i'm using Microsoft windows OS with NTFS file system.

As that SS version is using the ID3 tags then you need to make sure your tags are written using utf-8 format.
SS does support displaying all characters but only if utf-8.
(Just tested by changing a title tag using Hebrew characters and SS displayed np)

As far as my knowledge goes, that SS version uses a combination of ID3 tags, folder names and file names, right? Folder names for browsing, file names if id3 tags are missing from a file. Without more information from the OP, it's hard to tell what's going wrong.

OMG it works!
thanks you so much for your help my problem is solved now,
i used id3iconv.zip (batch tool convert) to convert all my mp3 files on my music folder and it worked!
