shared players

Hi! I've been using Subsonic exclusively as my media player for about a year now. When I first configured it, I donated 30 euro, but I've gotten so much value from it that I am starting to feel like I ought to make another donation. This project is really stellar.

Gushing praise aside, one feature that I think Subsonic could really benefit from would be shared players. Every now and then my friends and I gather on Subsonic and have listening parties. I think it would be excellent if Subsonic had a mechanism to allow multiple users to listen to the same player. I think a pair of radio buttons could control the privacy ("public" vs. "private") of the player, and an extra link ("listen to what <username> is listening to") in the "Now playing" frame could allow other users to access public players.

Regardless of whether or not this suggestion ever gets implemented, Subsonic is awesome and I'm floored every time I stop to think about the value it provides to me. Keep up the good work!

I'd love something like this too, especially if it was backed by something like shoutcast. You could in theory broadcast anywhere in the world.
