Loving the program - it's allowed me to listen from behind the corporate firewall, and that gets me through my day!

I'd love to be able to sort the album list alphabetically in addition to the current options. I listen to a lot of books-on-tape type of stuff, and when I rip 'em from the CD, I merge each disc into one track and throw 'em all into one big directory - it works much better with my portable MP3 player that way. However, when I look at the collection here in Subsonic, I have to go through them in what is effectively a random order no matter which sort order I choose. This is very inconvenient when I'm looking for a particular item.

Maybe what it really needs is to be able to read the ID3 tags in the individual files to determine title/album/artist, instead of relying on directory structure to determine this info.

Would that add huge amounts of overhead to the re-indexing process?
