A few of my wishlist features for Subsonic, as my music collection expands and more users are added:

An expanded user profile, such as a field for user email address, and the option to email users daily/weekly of newly added content.

Lock out/disable a user's account if they are logged in from more than one IP at the same time, if they download more than x GB in a day/week, upload/download ratios, and the option to email the site administrator if a user gets locked out.

Lock out based on IP if someone is trying to bruteforce the login page.

Base the "Newest" view on the datetime the directory was created, rather than the datetime the directory was last modified.

Because you just mentioned upload:
It would be great if the admin would be able to enable/disable "Automatically unpack zip-file." per user or completely.
This option is causing a lot of mess right now if the files are not named properly and if the ZIP file doesn't contain a subdirectory.

I might change it myself when I have the time...which I currently don't.

Also it would be be a good idea that the administrator could set up a base path to where downloads is to be uploaded to.

As it is now you can even select the drive letter to where you want to install the upload. That is too much power to give the users.
