Uploading Files

Hi guys, I had noticed that Subsonic do have the option to give user the permission to upload files via the user permission setting. But even after setting it I still can't see where is the option to do so.

Basicallly what I have in mind is this:
1. User first select an individual/multiple tracks, album art (folder.jpg) to upload via batch uploader.

2. Admin is notified via email that a user had uploaded a file.

3. Admin then need to manually administer the file and approve it before it can be added into the 'catalog'. The reason to do so is to prevent inconsistency (e.g. artist name, track info) across the database.

4. An email is sent to the uploader that their files had been uploaded.

5. That user can then share the uploaded link to his friends.

Well, part of what you want is there.

Once a user has upload rights they can upload by going to the "more" tab, browsing to a file, and clicking upload.

Nothing else on your list is there...

What Glenn says is true.. for a vanilla Subsonic install. In MusicCabinet, the scattered functionality of the "More" tab has been moved to more appropriate places (well, in my opinion). The Upload link to add more artists/albums is at the very bottom of the left frame.

I see. Thanks for the clarification. No wonder I couldn't find it. It is sink right at the left frame.
