Email when new media has been added

Perhaps already available but I would like to inform users when new media has been added.
So something like after each scan inform users of changes to the library.
Perhaps to be defined by user if they are interested in these updates.
Any ideas/suggestions/solutions?

This is a great idea. I set up a distribution list for my users and just manually email the list weekly with updates. But, I'd like to take this concept a step further. Could we make the server recognize new additions and mark them as "New" on the server? Like if I add an artist, have an asterisk next to the name for it's first week on the server or something?

I had the same thought. I think this would be great. The server should be able to email users with a list of new media added within a time frame. The user should be able to subscribe / unsubscribe, and should be able to choose the frequency of the updates they receive (daily, monthly, weekly).
