ID3 tags to Speech ?

I have been using Subsonic for a while now, and have just implemented the Jukebox setup on the server with the audio being distributed over a speaker system. It would be nice to locate a program or include within Subsonic a facility to read out selected ID3 tags as speech before the file is played or perhaps on demand so that the track can be identified without having to get to a logged in screen to see what is being played !
Has anybody ever seen such a facility or feel like implementing it ?
