Playlist Tag Accuracy

Postby bru » Thu Feb 14, 2013 9:22 pm

I use foobar with an external playlist. My library is made up of 99% FLAC and I stream without transcoding.

When I load the playlist, all the tracks have a title of "stream?player=2&id12345&suffix=.flac"

This makes it difficult to select songs if you want to skip around. If you play the song, the tags populate correctly.

I think the coding work would probably coincide with the request found here:

I made a post here previously about this issue looking for help (there are differences between Winamp and Foobar):

I'm in the same situation here, using Foobar now as my external player of choice - it works great, streams native FLAC's including high-rez FLAC's via HTTPS without any problems - EXCEPT the display issue noted by Bru here. Sindre, please fix this if you could so we can see the track names/album info names, etc. in the playlist. Thanks!

I'm searching around foobar to see if there might be a way to tap each track and get the tags? I'm not sure if this is a foobar problem maybe?
