PDF viewer/integration?

Postby abraxassc » Sun Mar 17, 2013 3:32 am

I know you can list .pdf files in subsonic but you have to download them to view. I imagine it shouldn't be too crazy to implement some sort of pdf web viewer inside of SS? Perhaps have it open either a new tab or an embedded view? I just know that it would be nice to be able to view pdfs or text files from within ss. :)

Firefox is shipping with an inbrowser PDF viewer in its nightly build. You can use it. It will probably also make it to the public releases in a while!

Ahhh that's not quite what I meant.

The 'Download' and 'Play' buttons for pdfs in subsonic will just attempt to download the file, it doesn't attempt to load the pdf. I think it would be awesome if the default action for a .pdf file would be to attempt to display it or open a new tab/window calling the assigned integrated pdf viewer (if any) in the browser.
