File Structure options?

This is pretty much a low-priority request, but I noticed that Subsonic assumes you have the current file structure:

Music\Artist\Album\Track.mp3

My current structure of 127 GB of music is currently like this:

Music\Artist\Artist - Album (Year)\Track.mp3

It would be nice if there was some sort of option/mask to allow Subsonic to recognize when the artist name is listed on the album folder. Because when you view by Artist, all of the albums are listed with the Artist name in them. This is especially annoying when you're viewing by album cover images and you only see the artist name listed on each one.

Again, it's nothing critical, but it would be handy for people who don't have a file structure that matches exactly how Subsonic expects and with so much music, I'm not about to restructure all of it!

Agreed, I hope to fix that in a later release.

Thanks,

I vote +1 for this feature, I have the exact same structure as concept211 but I guess something that can be defined with variables like

"%a/%A - %n (%y)"

(which could mean something like artist/album artist - album name (year)

would be nice.

Hi,
First i want to say how much i like Subsonic. It s clearly the best one around!
Now i would also like to be able to set my file structure, but if it s possible i would like it to be setable by music folderas i have 2 music folders:

Bands:
Artist/Album/[CD #]/Track.mp3

Soundtracks:
Album/[CD #]/Track.mp3

Thanks

Flexible organization would be nice. I have soundtracks for movies, games, anime, etc, along with music i'd like organized in a normal artist/album heirarchy.
