Subsonic mobile app - can't see files in root folder

Postby BloodyIron » Wed Jan 01, 2014 10:53 pm

When I use the free subsonic app and switch to a folder that has videos in it, it doesn't show the videos in that folder, only in sub-folders. So for example

"movies"
/some video.mkv (doesn't show up in the list)
/series folder/ (shows up in the list)
/series folder/some other video.mkv (shows up in the list)

That's by design. Files in the "root" of a media folder won't show up.

Why not? To me my example situation seems like a reasonable scenario and expectation.

I agree. Not sure if Sindre is working on doing something about this, but the only way I have found as a "workaround" is to set your media folder one level below where you actually want to share.

My setup is:

/share/Video
/share/Music
/share/Audiobooks

and under each of the folders is where I actually start my content.
